Troubleshooting Web Builder Sessions

Check your cookies

Online website builders rely on cookies to keep your session active. As you navigate through the pages of a site builder basic login information is passed from page to page using cookies.

If you've just started a page building session and you get kicked back to the log in screen or if you get a message that your session has expired, you'll need to make changes to your cookie settings.

You can lower your security settings, which we don't recommend, or you can tell your browser to allow cookies for the site in question.

To allow cookies for a website builder session:
On the IE Browser Click Tools, then Internet Options

On the Internet Options panel, choose Privacy.

On the bottom of the Privacy panel, choose Edit to override cookie handling for individual websites.

On the Edit panel, add the root URL of the site builder in the Address of Web Site box. Then Click Allow

Examples:
http://builder.nemo.com
https://builder.nemo.com

Then Click OK
Log on to the site builder and try again.


Check Your Pop Up Blocker

Online site builders use pop ups for some page editing functions. They also open new browser windows.

Some pop up blockers are so aggressive that they will not allow a site builder to function properly.

If you access a function during a session and nothing happens turn off your pop up blocker or follow directions to allow pop ups for a desired application.

Try a different browser

Most site builders will provide information about browser compatiblity.

If all else fails, try a different browser.

The biggest offender here is usually the AOL browser. Older versions just weren't compatible with anything.

Whether you're using IE, Mozilla or Netscape, always stay up to date. Update your browser.

The best online website builder services provide tech support. If you are trying a builder for the first time use the tech support even in the Free Trial stage.

If they answer your questions with short one line answers and don't seem eager to help, Don't Buy the Service!

If they make you wait hours or days for answers to questions, Don't Buy the Service!

If they are rude, or treat you like a moron, Don't Buy the Service!
