To Install Soholaunch on your website

  • First create a MySQL database from your web hosting control panel.
  • Gather the information for connecting to it: host, database name, username and password
  • Download installsoholaunch.zip
  • Unzip/extract the downloaded .zip file
  • Upload the included installsoholaunch.php to your site's home directory
  • Open up your web browser (internet explorer, or firefox) and go to http://yourdomainname.com/installsoholaunch.php
  • Follow the on-screen instructions
  • Log on to your site at: http://yourdomainname.com/sohoadmin/
  • Start building your website!

My Installation Notes

My first installation attempt ended with a server error 'Premature end of script headers'

When I checked the installation folder, the program had installed.

I also had trouble with the database set up. Be sure you know the right parameters for connecting to your database. You can get this info from your control panel or if all else fails ask your tech department for the proper information for connecting to your database. ( it varies from host to host)

For host, I had to change localhost to our server name.

If your installation is successful you will be able to log on to your site at: http://yourdomainname.com/sohoadmin/

What You Get

installsoholaunch.php will install the latest version of Soholaunch Pro Edition on your website.

Note: You can install soholaunch on sub domains. Example: soho.yourdomainname.com

For 15 days, all of the full-version features will be turned on for you. After your full-version trial expires you can keep using all of the ProBase features forever for free, or you can purchase a full-version license at any time and pick up where you left off with the advanced features.

There's no limit on the number of sites you can setup with this script.

You can continue to use Soholaunch free for personal and non-commercial websites. Stores will require you to buy a license.

The free version is ad-supported after the free trial ends

You get to use the full product with all the basic and advanced features free for 15 days. After your free trial period expires, the advanced features will be disabled and you may notice advertisements from Google appearing at the bottom of your website. These ads are a way for us to recoup some of the cost of making the basic version completely free. You can make the ads go away (and get all the advanced features back permanently) by purchasing a full version license for your website, or you can continue to use the ad-supported basic version forever for free.

What About Support

Remember that Soholaunch is a third party tool. Very few web hosts will answer questions about it from trouble tickets. Your main source of support will come from various forums where people gather that use the product.
